Bear Creek Lake Park

Bear Creek Lake Park is one of Lakewood’s biggest parks, spanning over 2,600 acres. In addition to miles of family friendly bike paths, Bear Creek Lake Park has tons of family-friendly activities like fishing, horseback riding, hiking, swimming, boating, and more!  

Belmar Park

Belmar Park also surrounds a beautiful lake and is conveniently located near Belmar Shopping Center in the heart of Lakewood. With close to two miles of paved paths, the park is perfect for kids of all ages. This park is also home to the Lakewood Heritage Center, where the entire family can explore artifacts, galleries, and exhibits. 

Sunset Park

If you want a less crowded biking experience for your family, check out Sunset Park. It offers 21 acres and overlooks Lakewood Gulch, making it the perfect place for a more peaceful bike ride. In addition to biking, you can shoot some hoops at the basketball courts, hit the playground, or bring some lunch to eat at one of the many picnic tables. 

Addenbrooke Park

You can turn your next biking adventure into an entire fun-filled day at Addenbrooke Park. First, take in the beauty of the lake and mountains as you cruise around the many bicycle paths in the park. Plus, you can always stick around to enjoy activities like baseball, softball, football, soccer, horseback riding, tennis, and more. This park even has grills so you can fuel up after a long day of biking. 

Sloan’s Lake Park 

Sloan’s Lake sits on Denver’s far western edge, just minutes from Lakewood. Sloan’s Lake is home to Denver’s biggest lake, boasting spectacular views of both the mountains and the city.  A paved 2.8 mile trail circles the lake, where park visitors enjoy fishing, boating, and water skiing.
